Person registry – where every person gets a unique identity across the platform
In EHR.Network, Person is an individual who is either a Patient, User or both. Person registry in EHR.network captures the demographic information required to identify the person uniquely. This module ensures that a person is uniquely represented to prevent fragmentation of their Personal Health Record(PHR)
Person registry’s design principles include APIs that ensure minimum required information to safeguard Person Identification Information, duplicate detection algorithms etc. Person registry schema is aligned to FHIR person resource to ensure interoperability with other standards compliant systems. A person can be extended to create user or patient by assigning them a UserUUID or EHRID respectively.
Person registry is also a core module that is designed to manage the most universal of person demographics attributes. Applications may, however, extend this module to address any application specific information requirements.
